My personal opinion isn't whether we are close to the end or not; I think that every generation believes they are on the brink of chaos, anarchy, and extinction. Think back to the cold war era- every day people did air raid drills and that nuclear war was "imminent". Go back further to the First and Second World Wars. They saw more death and destruction than any in history. As far as natural disasters go, we are more aware of the planet various cultures worldwide. Our newsfeed is almost instant and on 24 hours a day. I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to say. Maybe I'm asking, Are we just more aware of our surroundings?
The Survivalists' Poster Shop
About
The survivalists' poster shop is dedicated to helping prepare for disaster. A study showed that the majority of airplane crash survivors had read the safety manual. Hanging these posters up around the office, house, etc. will give people something to look at when they're bored, as well as keeping important survival information in the back of there mind. A very wise man once said, "Safety, Safety first, then teamwork".

The number one killer of fires is water. The number one killer of people is fires. The number one saver of people dying from fires is this poster. Possibly (yet highly unlikely) number two-to firemen. Hang this up in your office or classroom to remind people that if they see something, they need to say something. Disclaimer: this poster cannot kill fires.
